The recent few screen-free challenges were about tracking screen time and creating a screen-free zone at home.
This time, let’s make it fun!
You know what keeps kids going?
Celebration.
When we celebrate their small wins away from screens, their brain releases a happy chemical called dopamine (which you might already know).
It’s the same chemical screens give to your child but for a destructive behavior. But this time, with celebration, it comes from love, hugs, and connection.
So from today, let’s celebrate every milestone towards screen-freedom like it’s something big.
Each celebration and reward for no-screen time helps reduce friction from your child to go back to their old bad behaviors.
2-Day No-Screen Celebration
Once we achieve 2-days without screens, give your child a big hug. You can even make a small badge to reward your child.
10-Day No-Phone Celebration
Do a small family party — no gadgets, just to appreciate your child's win over screens and to spend some quality time together.
100-Day No-Phone Celebration
Go big! Bake or buy a cake, put up balloons, call grandparents or cousins.
Let your child cut the “100 Days Screen-Free” cake and feel like a hero.
These memories will stick forever and will enable your child to continue in the screen-free journey!
You know what, kids repeat what brings them joy. If joy comes from screens, they’ll chase screens. If joy comes from away-from-screens they’ll choose it.
Let’s build that together.
